  • Have between 2 and 50 employees

Google

Google is offering $800 million in grants to support small and medium-sized businesses affected by the COVID-19 pandemic.

Of the $800 million, $340 million will be given in ad grants to these businesses with active accounts. The ad grants can be used until the end of the year across the company’s advertising platforms. A $200 million grant will also be given to financial institutions and non-profit organizations that help provide small businesses with capital.

Amazon

Amazon is offering a $5 million Neighborhood Small Business Relief Fund to offer cash grants to small businesses with fewer than 50 employees or less than $7 million in annual revenue in the Greater Seattle area

Verizon & LISC

Verizon donated $2.5 million to LISC (Local Initiatives Support Corporation) who will provide grants of up to $10,000 to businesses facing immediate financial pressure because of Covid-19—especially entrepreneurs of color, women-owned businesses and other enterprises in historically underserved communities who don’t have access to flexible, affordable capital. Verizon’s #PayItForwardLive (learn more) campaign offers to match that $2.5 million.

Red Backpack Fund

The Spanx by Sara Blakely Foundation donated $5 million to support female entrepreneurs in the wake of COVID-19 and teamed up with GlobalGiving to establish The Red Backpack Fund. GlobalGiving will be overseeing the fund, making 1,000 grants of $5,000 each to female entrepreneurs in the U.S. to help alleviate the immediate needs and support the long-term recovery of those impacted by this crisis.
